Paris 19 - 26 June

We have to show pictures of the Tour Eiffel at night and Place de Concorde (with the Arc de Triomphe in the background. But what I really want to post is our Bistro, Le Termius du Chatelet. Javier was a great host.

Giverny 17 and 18 of June

Claude Monet created his water garden at Giverny.  The garden is a beautiful setting for his impressionist paintings.

Honfleur and Pegasus Demi-marathon

Honfleur is a beautiful port city. The Pegasus Demi-marathon is also known as the D-Day half marathon. It starts at the Pegasus bridge which the British troops took. It ends at the Caen Memorial. Nugget the chicken and Betty the cat have an understanding... :)

D-Day beaches 13th of June

We saw the British landing site at Arromanches (port Winston). Saw a 360 degree movie about the landing. Omaha beach and the American cemetery were moving. The Longues-sur-Mer gun battery was  interesting.

Mont Saint Michel 11 and 12th of June

The Abby of Mont Saint Michel was spectacular. We started eating she'll fish now that we arrived at the coast.

On to Chinon June 9-10

Visited Villandry on the drive to Chinon. Just about chateaux out at this point. But the Chateau was beautiful.

Got to Chinon and found a jazz festival in swing right across the street and right out our window.

Chateau Royal D'Amboise Still June 8th

Loved the inside road that allowed carriages and horses to arrive at the top .

Catching up!

June 8 We visited Chaumont Sur-Loire. both the Chateau and the festival of flowers. Modern Art meets Gardening! Our favorite jardin was
Through the wardrobe. As you enter this garden the plants are tiny along the path the plants get bigger and you feel smaller.

Chaumont Sur-LoireReminds me of the castle in Disneyland

Saturday morning - Amboise, France. Ed is running I'm on my way out on a walk around town.
Yesterday we went to Chateau Chenonceau. Built on the water. It has incredible views and a fantastic restaurant. We spent two hours over lunch at La Orangerie. Local dish roasted goat cheese!
Bach in Amboise we visited  Clos Luce Leonardo Da Vinci's final home. On the walk from the parking lot we had a great view of the homes built into the cliffs.
